The Agios Petros project would never materialized without the encouragement and financial support of our project co-founder, Marco Bellacci (Ktima Marco), an Italian entrepreneur (winery owner, olive-oil producer) who lives in Alonnisos. He was thrilled by the idea of us ‘going back’ to Agios Petros to record and excavate the underwater section. He has been a constant supporter of the idea of the project and without his generous donation phase 1 of the project would not have happened.
Merck Mercuriadis of the Hipgnosis Songs, UK, has also become a valuable co-founder support of our project, realizing the potential of our research which could contribute to the preservation of the pristine environment of the National Marine Park of Alonnisos.
